    Xbox Elite Controller v2 - Headphone audio via Chatpad not working


    Hi.

    I have the XBox Elite Series 2 controller.

    When connecting headphones directly to the controller 3.5mm jack, they work fine.

    When one connects a Chatpad to the controller, then plugs in the headphones to the 3.5mm jack on the chatpad, the sounds does not work properly (It sounds like distorted surround channels, without the centre or centre/voice channels). The same problem occurs
    with video/movies or games.

    I note that this issue has been posted by other people a few times over the last six months, but threads have been closed without a solution.

    Is this a recognised problem or incompatibility?

    Im new to the forum but i have to ask, does Microsoft support look at these posting use this to learn about user issues, provide suggestions and fixes?

    Seems like all companies make the users ask questions in the community forums and rely on other users to provide the answers instead of having Microsoft product support provide the answers.

    Have you checked for updates for the controller, made sure that everything is plugged in correctly.

    I'm glad im not the only one with this problem.. I got my elite 2 today and its not working with my chatpad. Is not only the audio but is like it won't recognize the chatpad at all. Notbing works not even to type this is annoying bc I use my chatpad frequently....
    is noy my chatpad bc i tried it on my other controllers and even my elite series 1 and it works fine... I didn't pay almost 200 dollars for the new controller not to let me use my accessories.

    Yes i updated my chatpad using my other elite, still nothing i made sure its plugged correctly too and nothing. It works fine with elite 1 and the other controller is just the elite 2 is not even picking it up. It picks up the headset piece so I know the
    port is not bad....
