    Xbox Elite controller turning off


    I own an Xbox Elite controller, and recently when I try to turn it on, it instantly turns off. It doesn't have a battery case, It's fully charged, I've tried plugging it in with the wire, I've tried giving my Xbox a full power restart. Nothing seems to work. The same controller worked just fine when connected to a different console. Please help.

    hi my elite 2 controller don't respond anymore.

    not one button, stick or paddles work but the controller is "on"= "home button" has light on...

    i can't turn the controller off

    when i open the accessories app there is only my standard controller displayed.

    connecting to xbox with usb cable doing nothing

    when i put them in the case: no "vibration"

    on the elite 1 you can simply remove the battery but on elite 2 it's impossible.

    is there a trick to turn the controller off and on?

    What do you mean you "pull it off after it turns on"?

    Do you have the controller connected via USB cable? Are you using a battery from the Play & Charge kit and charged the controller via USB?

    Does the controller work if you use fresh, disposable batteries?

    Great responses so far, I would agree to try the batteries first and then possibly a USB cable but in my experience if the batteries did not fix it then I had to send it in for repair. It was real easy and I had a replacement or they fixed mine within
    about a week. Awesome service Microsoft!
