    Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 Not Fully Compatible


    I just got my Elite 2 controller and it wont connect by Bluetooth. Keeps giving "Couldn't Connect. Try connecting again". After reading thru many of the discussion on the Elite 2 I have come to the conclusion that the new Elite is not fully compatible
    with Windows 10 when using Bluetooth.

    My computer is 3 months old and using high end components. Fully patched. Controller firmware has been updated. Did the Bluetooth troubleshooting twice.

    As much I don't want to I am going to return the 180 dollar controller and go back to a 25 dollar wired controller. If I have to replace the 25 dollar controller every year I will still be better off than replacing a 180 controller lets say every 4 years.
    I am pretty sure you wont get more than 3 or 4 years out of the Elite 2 controller. Heck i could even go for a 50 dollar wired controller and still be ahead.

    I really had I hopes for this controller but it is just not fully compatible with Windows 10 when using Bluetooth.

    the elite controller series 2 has Bluetooth compatibility and is therefore compatible with windows 10 too. the first release of the elite controller was before xbox was integrated into windows 10, therefore there was no need at the time for Bluetooth.

    Thank you for your post. The Xbox Series X will allow for backward compatibility with Xbox One controllers, meaning an Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 will work as normal with the Series X.
