    Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 issue with Bluetooth on PC


    Hey guys, I am having issues with this controllers connectivity to windows 11 via bluetooth after the firmware update.

    The current firmware 5.15.3168 causes the controller to randomly disconnect and also couldn't reconnect after being switched off. The only way to make it work is via a usb cable or unpaid and remove the device and then reconnect / repair. It works for as long as it works then disconnects again. Even if it doesn't disconnect, it won't reconnect after having switched off the controller.

    After a lot of searching and googling, I got to know that it is a firmware issue. I was able to rollback the firmware and it connects properly. But i am now having issues with button presses registering properly and analog movement getting stuck. This isn't on the new firmware. Also i cannot configure the controller anymore since it says update required. I cannot hence also see which firmware it is on. This is ridiculous.

    How can this be? Why am I on an insider firmware relese? How do I fix this? How do i go about solving this problem? How do we come to know when this issue has been fixed and when do we update the firmware if such updates are breaking the functionality?

    I really like this controller and i really want it to work the way it should.

    the elite controller series 2 has Bluetooth compatibility and is therefore compatible with windows 10 too. the first release of the elite controller was before xbox was integrated into windows 10, therefore there was no need at the time for Bluetooth.

    The elite series one controller never had Bluetooth so you would've received exactly what you ordered if you need Bluetooth you need a new edition standard controller or an elite series 2
