Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 - Hardware issues

Following the Microsoft press release 14 November 19:

"Update November 14:Following a request for comment alongside our original report, Microsoft has acknowledged issues reported with the Xbox Elite Controller Series 2. The platform holder has launched an investigation with aid from internal engineering
teams, providing this statement to Windows Central on the matter:

At Microsoft, we put all of our products through rigorous quality assurance testing. However, like any hardware, there is the possibility that a small percentage of devices may experience issues. We are aware that a small number
of users may be experiencing issues with the Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 and are actively investigating with our engineering teams. We encourage any customers who experience issues with their hardware to contact Xbox Support."

Have the hardware issues with the controller been addressed by an reversion to the hardware?

What is the way to identify the hardware revision on the controller when making a purchase?

Has Microsoft resolved the production issues with the Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 with a hardware refresh?

There is no know hardware revision released to the Elite Series 2 controller from Microsoft at this time which related to resolving the hardware issues. Happy to be proved wrong.

Sorry to hear you are unsatisfied with the current Xbox controllers, however, the question forum is the incorrect place to post your feedback. Unless you are asking about current Xbox controller advancements in-which case that would be the Xbox Elite Controller
Series 1 and Xbox Elite Controller Series 2. The Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 being the newest on the market and being awarded,
"Best of E3 2019 - Hardware/Peripheral" - Game Critics Awards.
