Xbox Elite Controller Platformer Issues

Hello,

I play the game Hollow Knight (awesome game BTW) on my Windows 10 PC using my xbox one elite controller - and I have run into a highly vexing issue.

This is a 2d Platformer where you can move left and right (and jump/fall down). So it means that you character is always facing either left or right. When you attack, your attack in the direction that your character is facing.

The issue: whenever I have to move just a little bit to the left or to the right, I tap-and-release the left analogue stick very fastly. This results in my character moving slightly in the desired direction. However, when the stick bounces back to the center,
it overshoots (beyond the center), meaning that my character will end up facing the wrong direction - - > I end up missing my attacks.

Is there any settings in the xbox accessories app that will allow me to alleviate this situation? Sort of like increasing the dead zone of my left stick? I've tried tinkering with some of the different options without much luck.

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. Unfortunately, there is no way to increase or calibrate the dead zone of a controller specifically. The only thing I could recommend would be sending this as an idea for a possible update to Microsoft. You can
do so from the
Xbox Ideas Hub.

Aside from that, have you tried using the other analog sticks that come with the Xbox elite controller to see if you notice any difference?

I'm having the same issue with my Elite controller as well. This is kind of ridiculous considering the premium price of this controller! For a company that keeps talking up their support for PC gaming they sure are slow to fix issues with their platform...

^It's $199 from two different retailers here in Aus and I still think it's worth the money. You definitely come across as someone who has not experienced the difference.

I love my elite controller to the point I play all cross platform games on XBox (I'll take the Elite controller over the Switch's portability any day. I don't have a playstation)

That said, If you're not really into gaming, it's still a very expensive thing, so consider it carefully.

Is there a difference between the Bluetooth on the Elite and the one on the regular Xbox one controllers. My other controllers connect without an issue, but not the Elite.
