Xbox Elite Controller paddles are not the same left and right

I just purchased an Xbox Elite Controller. The left side paddles have a lot of play in them when pressed, while the right side paddles are both very crisp. Is that how they all are? I have tried seating and reseating them, and I can feel the magnetic attraction,
but the left side paddles have a lot of play before they click. The right side paddles are seated flush and when I press them, they just click. Is there a way to adjust this? Is this normal? Or do I just have a faulty controller?

Accessories Xbox Application

Hello, I have a problem with the Xbox Accessory application for W10, to reconfigure the keys of my Xbox One Elite controller. The application doesn't recognize my joystick but my computer yes, I can use it to play, but on Rocket League, when I want to change
the joystick's paddle functions, they are configured as buttons A, X, Y, B and not paddles up-right, paddle up-left, paddle down-right and paddle down-left. If I'm on the application when my controller is plugged in, and I press B, the application shuts down
or crashes, I don't know. If you have a solution to make the elite palettes work properly this would be cool. Thank you in advance, cordially.

the big issue of the elite controller paddles'

i think it's not only me because i asked another and he has the same problem as mine

if you set paddles right and left,press these two paddles quickly or meanwhile,it will send singal "down"

this is how it shows

if this is xbox Accessories's problem please fix it

if this is the controller's ,i will request return the 2 elite controllers of mine

Hey Rangoon12! If you believe the controller is uneven or the left side is not solid enough, I would suggest returning to the retailer and exchanging since it was purchased recently. Thanks!

Ahhh the dreaded stick drift, it was the right stick for me, it finally took my day 1 controller from me...

Always disliked clicking in a stick for sprint, so one of my Elites paddles is always mapped to the left stick click.

I mapped one of the paddles to the left stick for sprinting in games on my Elite. Both the paddle and left stick click have been working fine.

Make sure your button is functioning properly in other games--it could be jammed. Also, double-check your button mapping (Xbox Accessories App) and controller settings (in the game).

I have an elite series 2 controller. All of the paddles are the same color.

To be very, very clear, the problem is that the newest firmware updates to Xbox elite 2 controller has broken the functionality of the paddles. As of the latest firmware, the paddles are completely disabled when in default profile. The paddles used to work in default mode, and now they don't. Steam can corroborate this: last year Steam added functionality to customize the outputs of the elite controllers paddles, which means that the paddles used to output a unique signal instead on only emulating other controller buttons.

A quick internet search reveals numerous accounts from users who had used steam to customize the paddle outputs, proving that the paddles used to work. You can also see a growing number of recent complaints from Elite controller users who are realizing that their paddle inputs are now broken. This is not an isolated occurrence, the elite controller was broken by the latest firmware updates, and people are realizing it.

The changes made to the Xbox elite 2 Controller paddles in the latest firmware updates NEED TO BE REVERTED.
