XBOX Elite controller dock

Hello!

I got a pair of XBOX Elite controllers, complete with the optional Play & Charge Kit.

Now, it's dandy having two charging cables for each controller, but I really hate having them lying around and the cables dangling.

So then, I set out to look for a charging dock.

Now, I have a few questions.

- Does the accessory port at the bottom charge these controllers?

- Is there a dock that DOESN'T come with its own battery system to be able to work?

- Ideally, I'd like a dock that has the controllers face up, hence question #1. I think it looks weird having them upside down and I also don't like the jurassic microUSB connection, so...

Help?

Is there a product like what I'm looking for, or am I stuck getting a dock that comes with its own batteries, therefore making my Play & Charge kits sorta useless?

I see, thanks again. What if I plug my phone wall charger to the official Xbox charging dock that came with the controller? (the one that fits inside the case).

The official Elite 2 Xbox charging dock says on the back that it outputs 5 volts at 0.55 amps (550 miliamps). So it should be safe to plug my wall charger into the dock and then charge my controller through the dock, right?

A charging dock is included with the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. Plug the USB-C cable into the back of the dock and then plug the other end into your console or PC. Once the dock is connected, gently place the controller onto it to begin charging.

Have you tried that?

that does NOT work either, and is very unpractical since i have the elite controller dock

Hi there,

as far as I know there is no officially support item for what you seek.

I know the Elite v2 will have it's one dock inside the case, but that is for one controller.

to see if others are looking for a similar thing and maybe Xbox will look into it as accessory

Looks OK enough, I just don't want to replace my current controller batteries as I've said in the OP. But I guess I'll have to bite the bullet on that one. Thanks

Not sure if you're entirely set on buying a dock or not but I use the Eneloop Pro rechargeable batteries. I get around 30 hours per charge and I have a few sets that I rotate between. I just change them out every other week or so when I'm done and I've
never had an issue. They're not very pricey at all and can be used for other things around the house if you need them.
