Xbox Elite Controller 2 - Several questions for anyone who has any idea about this:

Hi so,

I bought an elite controller 2 back in January. I have a couple of questions about it that I can't seem to find the answers for anywhere, and Microsoft is pretty much ghosting me. Would really appreciate anyones help on this.

1-

It says I have a warranty of 1 year, is that correct? Considering how faulty these things are, it feels a bit short? Or does the warranty differ depending on where you bought it? It wasn't from the Microsoft store, but still; I could buy a second nintendo
switch with that money.

2-

So the bumpers started "double-clicking" after about 5 months. This was after the A button had been weirdly sticky for ages, which I managed to fix, but the double clicking issue was making games unplayable; so I sent it off for repair. That was on June
20, as recorded on this website on my account.

It said it was in the "service centre" for about 4 weeks, but now it says "no issues found"?? And if I try to find the track order, it no longer exists.. there were still 2 steps remaining on my order to follow, something along the lines of "service repaired"
and "delivered!"

I'm guessing it's been fixed and its just delayed in being sent back with the current situation and all. But a part of me thinks they didn't even think there was an issue with the controller, and are about to send it back without doing anything. Another
part of me thinks they're not even sending it back.

Has anyone had any issues with sending off their elite controller for repairs?? A 5 month life span for a 160 quid controller is absolutely appaling.

Hello there ! I got series 2 directly from microsoft store in London (so i can returned if faulty) and my unit had unresponsive A button, returned very next day back to store! Waste of time train tickets etc, second unit after few weeks had sticking A&X
button !!! (I work a lot & have 2 kids so i play xbox exlusives like 4-5 h A WEEK! ) I could not take it back to store becouse its closed due to covid-19! So i done this on the web site.. got new replacment after 4 weeks with unresponsive A button & wobbly
not centered dpad. Ive called microsoft for the refund becouse i do not want 4th replacment .. they refused so im waiting again for 4th replacment! Very dissapointed like with red rings of death on 360 ( reason i have switched to ps3&ps4 )still fan of xbox
since 2004 but they keep loosing me over the hardware issues & customer support.

Yeah unfortunately its a really common problem, you'd think Microsoft would up the ante after the series 1 controller also had issues...

In the mean time if you feel you need some extra buttons with your xbox controller, you can get a PowerA Spectra Enhanced Xbox controller.

It has 2 buttons at the back and its about $30

Okay so what you need to do is:

1) Top right corner, sign into your xbox live account.

2) Click your display picture now that you've signed in, (also top right) >> My Microsoft Account

3) Click "all devices" in the devices section

4) Your controller should be listed here. If it's not, don't worry you can add it easily. Just click "dont see your device?" and then add your serial number. You can find it at the back of your controller , in between the paddles.

5) When you can see your device, simply click on "show details", and then "start service online"

It's only been a few hours since my post and I've just got my controller back!

So if your service order has suddenly disappeared, or your device in "my devices" now reads "No issues found", I can confirm it means that your controller is back on its way to you and has been repaired.

I'm still concerned about the length of my warranty though!

How did you send off your controller. I have the same issue
