    The quality of this controller is horrendous. For a controller to cost as much as this one does the rubber grips shouldnt start falling off in less than a year!

    Whats up with this Microsoft?

    I will most likely be buying one. Had my current elite for some time now and the grips are falling off. Waiting on the release as there is no point of buying a new gen 1 controller

    Are the more recent Xbox One controllers of better quality?

    Most controller I've had have lasted 2-3 year (if treated) that are Xbox branded, however the Xbox elite controller over time the plastic grip will fall off and the magnet pieces can be frustrating in intense situations.
