XBOX Elite 2 Wireless Back Paddles Non responsive

    Good afternoon,

I recently purchased an Xbox Elite Wireless 2 controller and XBOX wireless dongle for my computer and have a profile set up where the back paddles are mapped to the CTRL, ALT, SHIFT, and TAB keys on the keyboard. While the controller is plugged into the computer via USB, these inputs are picked up both in game and in the XBOX accessories app, however over wireless (either in Bluetooth or using the Microsoft Dongle), these inputs are not picked up. If i switch profiles to where the ABXY keys are mapped to the back paddles, they DO pick up.

I'm extremely frustrated trying to get this to work wirelessly. Any help?

    :)

Elite Controller 2 paddles not registering in app

Same issue here, after various updates to Windows 11.

Firstly, the device was before recognised as "xbox elite series 2" I believe, but is now recognised as a generic xbox wireless controller.

Secondly, the paddles on the back are now disabled if no profile is selected. However, if a profile is selected, the paddles on the back are recognised as the A, B, X and Y buttons.

Fingers crossed MS will update this soon! Great controller otherwise. I would like to be able to use the paddles though.

Elite series 2 paddles have stopped working..check updates and that paddles are installed correctly...

    Hello NICK CLEVELAND,

Welcome to Xbox Community Forum. Thank you for sharing your concern with us today and we hope that all is well.

We understand that you are trying to use the Xbox Elite Series 2 paddles and it has stopped working. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

Have you tried checking if the paddles were locked? Try pressing the Pair button ((( twice. The controller will vibrate to confirm the unlock/lock. Although this is not yet available to Xbox Elite Wireless Controller 2, this is worth a shot. Learn more here: Lock the paddles on your Xbox Elite Wireless Controller | Xbox Support

If it did not work, this could mean that you may need to swap/adjust the paddles. Please use this guide: Swap removable parts on your Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 | Xbox Support

Otherwise, you may need to check the device's warranty, to send the controller for a repair if under warranty. Please see guide: Getting your Xbox device serviced | Xbox Support

We look forward to your response.

Kindly let us know, if there is any misunderstanding or clarifications of our description by sending us a reply.

I don’t know how to remove the paddles on my Elite Series 2 controller.

The back paddles just pull off. My Elite Series 1 & 2 are the same.

    Elite 2 controller paddle defaults

    Hello DavidLindsey5,

    Happy Holidays!

Welcome to Xbox Community Forums. We appreciate for sharing your concern with us and we hope that you are doing well today.

As per description, you are inquiring if paddles on the Xbox Elite 2 controller have default settings and if they already mapped to a button out of the box.

Here's what we got from our research.

No, the Elite Series 2 controller does not come with paddles. Paddles are an optional extra that can be purchased separately. What does the button in the middle of the Elite Series 2 controller do? The button in the middle of the Elite Series 2 controller can be used to change the controller’s profiles.

It can be configured, check on this link. Configure your Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 | Xbox Support.

We also provided you some features of the controller. Xbox Elite Wireless Controller features | Xbox Support

We hope it worked out well for you. If not, please reply back to this forum to let us know so we could find other options to resolve the problem.

We will be glad to follow up and help you.

    Sincerely,
