    xbox elite 2 upgrade impossible


    Hi all,

    you spend 150 euros and you can't use the joystick xbox elite 2. I find all this to be embarrassing and we are not talking about a made in china but we are talking about MICROSOFT!! 2 hours have passed since I clicked on update and the app accessories XBOX is stopped at 0, I repeat zero%!!

    how can i solve this problem?

    I'm sorry to hear you're not able to update your controller firmware. Let's try to sort this out.

    For this, may I know what procedures you tried to fix this so far?

    Meanwhile, try to perform a physical power cycle by disconnecting the power cable:

    “Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
    Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

    Important, Be sure to wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

    Plug the console power cable back in.
    Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on."

    Once the console is on, please connect the controller using a USB cable and try updating it one more time.

    I now use the elite and have upgraded to elite 2 , and so far no issues. I use the controller every day with no issues.

    I still have the controller fro when I bought the xbox . As said could be unlucky batch 🤔

    Your advice is what's bricking the Elite 2 in the first place. The firmware that you push through on XBOX is incompatible with Windows. Because it's impossible to revert the firmware on the XBOX and the XBOX accesories app does not recognize it on PC the device is locked to XBOX only. It's a soft brick.

    not one button, stick or paddles work but the controller is "on"= "home button" has light on...

    i can't turn the controller off

    when i open the accessories app there is only my standard controller displayed.

    connecting to xbox with usb cable doing nothing

    when i put them in the case: no "vibration"

    on the elite 1 you can simply remove the battery but on elite 2 it's impossible.

    is there a trick to turn the controller off and on?

    Best xbox one controller?

    I only use standard One controller models that come with S or X model consoles, but I have a friend who swears by the Elite 2 and says its a massive upgrade. I'm fine with the regular model but if I had the money I would consider the Elite 2!
