Xbox Elite 2 controller suddenly has a Green color to the Xbox/home button today??

I just came across this as well.... and you won't believe it! It's Steam!!





Just noticed there was a Steam Xbox controller driver update, and out of curiosity I went into the Steam settings for the controller. There was a colour sider, and it works! My XBOX button is currently bright pink now 🤣

To find the settings, go to:

On the Desktop:

- Steam menu > Settings > Controller

- Select "General Controller Settings"

- Select your connected Xbox Elite controller from the bottom list

- Click "Preferences"

Under Big Picture Mode:

- Settings cog > Controller Settings

- Select your connected Xbox Elite controller from the bottom list

- Click "Preferences"

EDIT: If you want the original colour back, you need to remove Steam's "Xbox Extended Feature Support" driver option, otherwise it only allows you to set a colour or Saturation that looks a muddy yellow.

That's odd. If you remove the USB cable, does the light turn white again? If you pair the controller with your phone or console, does the same thing happen?

Everyone, thanks for all of your replies. I wasn't able to do any additional troubleshooting until today, but this is the answer. It was Steam's new update all along. Pretty dang cool honestly!! Microsoft needs to integrate this for both consoles and PC.
