Xbox elite 2 controller probem (wont turn on without cable)

Hi,

I was wondering if I could get some help with troubleshooting my elite 2 controller.

I turned xbox off via controller for around an hour and when I came to turn it back on I could not turn console on with controller, it wouldnt power up (using a different controller works fine), there was no battery low warning from console and no low power light on controller

Plugging the charger cable in powers the controller and starts the console but no charge light and I can use it.

I was wondering if there is a "hard reset" sequence to reset the controllers back to default (I cant find anything online so im doubful about that) or if anyine has come across this problem before?

controller is just out of warrenty as well thats just my luck!

Hi Christopher,

Unfortunately this did not resolve my issue, still no charge light on controller and as soon as i disconnect the charging cable the controller switches off so no progress.

1. My controller wont turn on at all for any of the games on my pc

2.It was working perfectly but now (as i said) wont turn on after not using it for maybe 3 days.

3.The usb-c cable is connected properly

4.the controller dosent have batteries (its an xbox elite controller) and when i put the controller on the charger nothing happens.

My controller also dosent turn on at all so i cant check if it needs updated.

hi my elite 2 controller don't respond anymore.

not one button, stick or paddles work but the controller is "on"= "home button" has light on...

i can't turn the controller off

when i open the accessories app there is only my standard controller displayed.

connecting to xbox with usb cable doing nothing

when i put them in the case: no "vibration"

on the elite 1 you can simply remove the battery but on elite 2 it's impossible.

is there a trick to turn the controller off and on?
