Xbox Elite 2 Controller Left Stick Movement Delay

Ok... first when I bought this controller the left and right bumpers would work maybe 10% of the time and the "Y" button was 50/50. I got that one replaced.

Now on the replacement I have an issue where the left stick has a 2+ sec delay when when you try and move forward. The left/right or back motion is normal. I take off the thumb stick and just do it with my finger and it seems to work, but then I can't get
the "push" in motion to run in most games to work.

For a $200 controller to have so many issues in basically a year seems to be a huge problem and based on all the comments and post I've been reading on here there are an insane number of people with issues of all kinds.

How does Microsoft produce a controller like this with so many issues?

Obviously I want this repaired, but don't feel in any way shape or form I should be having to pay for it considering the cost and the fact how little use and time I've had it.

Anyone have any thoughts before I attempt complaints on various consumer websites?

    :)

Left = Up a lot in Injustice: Gods Among Us on Xbox One

    Thanks for the reply, Chris!

I've only played one other game on the Xbox One, and that one just uses the left stick for 360° movement rather than the precise UDLR movement that Injustice uses. It's probably just unwanted movement that the game's interpreting incorrectly. It just unfortunately
seems to interpret a large range of angles as Up and a relatively small range of angles as Left, which just may be a universal issue with the game. I did switch to the D-Pad, but that hurts my wrists after a moderate amount of time, so I was hoping for a fix
with the left stick--though the left stick's location on the Xbone controller does hurt my wrist more than the stick's location on the 360 controller, to begin with. 8^)

Xbox elite series 2 with design flaw?

I got an Elite series 2 and the first thing I noticed is the A button seems to be harder to push than necessary.

After playing for a bit I also noticed my left stick doesn't rotate smoothly when clicked in I thought maybe this was just my controller so I went to a friend and they also have the same issue with the left stick. I checked out the right stick as well and
although it doesn't feel like its grinding on sandpaper it is also not anywhere close to being a smooth circle. How could this have been looked over?

Clicking in the left and right sticks is essential in many games, how could you make such an awful mistake? If I'm ADS in game I click in my left stick to hold my breath and I use my right stick to crouch and move but if I even try to do it with the elite
2 I just get grinding and uneven movement.

I picked back up the original elite to check the left stick and was surprised as to how smooth it was, it feels as if these new sticks are cheap and not thought out. I appreciate the tension changing but if I have to trade out terrible movement for it I'd
rather just keep my old controller.

Is this something you guys at Microsoft know about? Every time I pick up the controller now It genuinely annoys me that I can't use my sticks. I didn't expect to spend 180$ for something that doesn't function on the most basic of levels. I have to wait a
week to play as well because my original elite has insane stick drift so I have to send it in for the 3rd time this year for the same issue.

(I know the A button being bad is common I want to know if everyone has the issue with the left stick grind. This was my main issue with the controller it made it impossible to aim, click in the left stick and move it around in a circle.)
I'm now on my 3rd elite series 2 from gamestop. The first one i was having issues with some of the buttons i had drift a few times so i returned it for another. Had similar issues with the second one so i returned it again. Both of the first controllers
had left stocks that were perfectly fine with the movement but now on my third controller i have the left stick that does feel harder to move around it doesn't move smoothly at all and i get that grinding feeling when i go to move it in a circular motion.
Not really sure what to do at this point. I mean the controller is great i want to love it I just can't believe such an expensive highly anticipated piece of hardware has this many issues. It also seems like the issues with these controllers are getting harder
to search for online. Im surprised i found such a new thread about it.

My controller sensitivity is very high on xbox dashboard

    Hello Joshua,

Thanks for coming to the forums. We understand having issues with sensitivity on the controller. You can configure all this in the accessories app. Here is a

    guide for the accessories app
    to help you.

Left and right stick sensitivity - Select
Left stick or Right stick to customize and control how each stick responds during gameplay. Once you've chosen the stick you want to customize, you can select
    Default, Delay, Aggressive, Instant,
or Smooth depending on how responsive you want the stick to be in your game. For example, if you want the controller to respond faster over a shorter stick movement, select
Instant. You'll see a graph that shows you the response curve of the stick.

Note Depending on the game you play, these settings will have different responses. One way to test your settings is to set Slot 1 to
Default and Slot 2 to your customized setting.

    Hope this helps.

    Elite Series 2

Hey there. I agree that you should try the Contact Us link above. Just keep in mind the current Pandemic has traffic a slowed right now. What you are experiencing is called Joystick Drift and it is a huge nuisance. The first set of Elite 2 controllers
unfortunately came with a few issues and even mine is off for repairs right now. It's odd that you can't add your device with the serial number. When you go to the the link https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus/,
open the help chat and type in "Contact Me" or "Connect to a person". This should put you in contact with an actual person for assistance. As a temporary fix, you can try setting the left joy stick to "Delay" mode under the Accessories app on Xbox and turning
the level all the way down to restrict the movement as much as possible when not touching the stick. This wont stop it but it will reduce the amount of movement for now.
