Xbox Elite 2 Controller doesnt turn on.

I am happy to try and help you but please note that this is a community form and is staffed by volunteers and gamers just like you - not Microsoft staff. We have no access to accounts, Microsoft systems or customer information and can only offer helpful advice.

You basically have three options:

1) See if you can send it for repair. Register your device here ( https://account.microsoft.com/devices/select-device-for-repair ) - click the +REGISTER DEVICE option at the bottom. Once registered you will be able to see if it is still in warranty. From here you can also send the controller in for repair. HOWEVER Microsoft do not always accept controllers for repair, and if they do but it is out of warranty, you will be charged a repair fee. It may also be that damage caused by misuse also incurs a repair fee by default. 2) Get it repaired by a third party - this will obviously not be free.

3) Purchase a new controller and try really hard not to yeet the new one or you'll have to go through the expense again

Turns out, the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller needed to be replaced.

Did you find a solution to this problem? I updated my Elite series 2 yesterday, and now I have the exact same problem. Elite series 2 is recognized as a regular xbox controller and does connect via bluetooth, but doesnt work. Connected via USB-c the XBOX accessories app doesnt even recognize it...

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but that didnt help.

Used elite first gen for years and just got good at replacing broken bumpers. I had high hopes for the elite 2 but sadly my elite 2 right bumper clicks but doesnt register input most of the time after only 2 months.

submitted warranty claim, and will have them replace it - but even though i prefer the feel of the sticks and triggers on the msft controller, i am switching to razor wolverine.

not matter how good it feels if a contoller doesnt control, its worthless.

hi my elite 2 controller don't respond anymore.

not one button, stick or paddles work but the controller is "on"= "home button" has light on...

i can't turn the controller off

when i open the accessories app there is only my standard controller displayed.

connecting to xbox with usb cable doing nothing

when i put them in the case: no "vibration"

on the elite 1 you can simply remove the battery but on elite 2 it's impossible.

is there a trick to turn the controller off and on?
