    XBox Elite 1 L2 and R2 dont work on fortnite


    I js got an elite controller and when i play on my phone with a wired connection the L2 and R2 dont register on fortnite. Ive tried it in roblox and it works and on my pc aswell idk what the problem is does anyone know how to fix this? having those 2 buttons missing makes the game unplayable which is really frustrating!

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues playing Fortnite on your smartphone due to some of your controller's buttons are not working. For us to isolate your issue, what is the brand and model of the smartphone that you're using? You mentioned that it's working on your PC without issues, this means that it's safe to say that your controller is working normally.

    As part of our troubleshooting, try updating the controller firmware:

    On a Windows PC, you can do this by installing the Xbox Accessories app from the Microsoft Store, and then connecting the controller while the app is open.

    On an Xbox console, press the Xbox button to open the guide and then select Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Controllers & headsets. Select “…” under the controller that you're troubleshooting to check the firmware status.

    Once your controller's firmware is updated to the latest version, try connecting again to your smartphone via bluetooth.

    DO NOT BUY CONTROLLERS FROM MICROSOFT!!!

    I've bought many. This just in, I've never had one quit working. My two DAY 23 controllers for the Xbox One are still working fine. (so that's over 3 years easy) If I started a thread it would be
    BUY CONTROLLERS FROM MICROSOFT!

    So... feeling the way you do, I think I'd quit the ambassadors. No point in promoting MS. :)
    Same, My Day 1 still works, My Halo Still works, But the Elite is screwed as the rubber coating is now detached. Technically speaking I could still use the Elite thought the l1,l2,r1,r2 stick pretty bad, and of course no cover.

    This happened to me as well as the L2/R2 buttons getting stuck. The rubber grip is coming off the left hand side, It hasn't been overused.

    Sounds more like a programming issue than a hardware design; the 360 triggers are light year's better than the PS3's L2/R2 "triggers"...
