    Xbox E102/105 Error and unable to offline update


    Hey Guys,

    Hoping someone has some ideas I haven't come across yet as I'm getting desperate.
    So I started getting weird issues a few weeks ago that I ignored (Mostly game crashes/freezing/getting stuck on the green xbox screen after restarts). Soon I ended up getting E102/105 errors. After some reboots and cache clears I managed to get things working again. Last night I started getting errors saying there were issues with save files and I needed to clear local saves, however I wouldn't be able to get to settings before the error popped up again and booted me out of the menus. Ended up doing another reset and complete power of and it cleared that. This morning I got the error mid game and then the entire console froze up. Now I cannot get out of the E102 error. Trying to restart and factory restart both just take me right back to the error screen. I finally decided to try a offline update but get an E101 error. A little research suggests this is due to being part of the insider program. I really have no idea wtf to do now and we are in complete lockdown here in NZ so I can't get anything serviced even if I wanted to. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can try to get the console running again?

    There’s a problem with your saved games

    Alright, my Xbox is working much better in the short term.

    No amount of factory reset, save deletion, profile deletion, etc. would stop my constant flow of save issues and E102/103/105 errors. I couldn’t perform an offline update as the offline update box was always greyed out, no matter how many reformatted usb
    sticks I tried.

    I went to the local Microsoft Store and they had what they referred to as a unique offline update on a marked USB stick. My Xbox wouldn’t read it, so we did a number of factory resets and then tried what was apparently a different flavor of this offline
    update stick. That one was read fine and my Xbox has worked fine tonight.

    Here’s hoping it stays that way. Thanks for all the help, folks!

    Hi, Ash! thank you for your reply.

    It must've been E102, as there is no E103 error for Xbox consoles.

    Did you try an offline update or an offline reset? they are very similar, so it's easy to get confused.

    Install the Xbox-Insider-Hub App

    Press Y on the homescreen of your XBOX ONE and search in the search bar for XBOX-Insider-HUB and install it.

    Now you can press and hold the xbox button on the xbox one Controller (like if you would to want to turn off the controller) and select report Problem.
