Xbox DVR won't record two monitors

Discus and support Xbox DVR won't record two monitors in XBoX Accessibility to solve the problem; I have separate displays: one is my laptop, and the other is a monitor plugged in by HDMI.     Xbox DVR won't record two monitors


    I have separate displays: one is my laptop, and the other is a monitor plugged in by HDMI.

    When I open Game Bar, it opens on my laptop's display, but the Game Bar won't move to the 2nd monitor;

    it's trapped in my laptop display.

    I can't record on the 2nd screen, which is where the activity is occurring, and therefore can't broadcast.

    In the settings menu there is a Game DVR option, switch it off. This also means the DVR app and "Xbox Record That" won't work.

    1080p 60FPS Game DVR record option for Xbox One X

    This is exactly what we need. Not everyone plays on a 4k monitor. Every game that plays @60 frames looks laggy when recorded with Game DVR on Xbox one X on a 1080p monitor.

    Screen tearing proof for the naysayers - direct Game DVR recording from the Xbox One

    The reason the DVR picks it up is because the gpu renders whatever was in the frame buffer when the tv refreshes and without Vsync there's on guarantee the buffer won't have two halves of a separate image.

    No TV/monitor will fix it the end.

    Why are there DVR controls on live tv?

    Upon further research it looks like it should control the DVR on my cable box. Or at least the recordings. But it won't.

    From the user guide

    OneGuide is not designed to control your DVR. You can use your DVR remote control to access your recordings or schedule new ones.

    Note OneGuide’s playback controls (fast forward, rewind, play, and pause) will work with your DVR recordings.
