Xbox download speed dropped between 9-20kbs

I interrupted game downloads and it save them. I have 75 download speed. It works flawlessly most of the day. Then on certain days of the week between 9-10:30pm it drops to 3 download speed. (I live in Chicago and it seems certain days/times every one
of my 1,000,000 neighbors must watch Netflix and play on the internet simultaneously). The speeds you posted make me believe that it might be a malfunctioning modem or something else.

My download is consistently between 5.60Mb/s and 6.00Mb/s. I also have background downloads enabled on my Xbox 360.

I hooked my console up to my router via ethernet cable and began downloading it again around 9:30PM EST. In half an hour it has downloaded 9%. At this rate it's about 7x faster than what it was earlier via WiFi and what I would consider "normal" download
speed considering my internet speed.

I'm not so sure if I should call this fixed, but it's definitely looking better than before. I'll update on whether or not it fails or if it downloads completely.

Well instead of being kind of rude and talking to me like I'm stupid, some constructive feedback would be much more appreciated.

Yes I realize that speedtest.net pings a closer server than Xbox. However, it should not be that huge of a drop between download speeds. I have better speeds with steam downloads than I do with Xbox.

Also yes you are right that you won't get your full speeds through 3rd parties but again it should not be that low. I am not sure what games that you can download in 15 minutes with 200mbps but when I am downloading games with that speed, it takes an hour or more.

I know Xbox has the capability to get faster download speeds since I use to get 300-500mbps on game downloads when I had 600mbps from my ISP.

There are certain times of the day that the Xbox servers are crowded and it significantly drops the download speeds of all games.
