    Xbox doesn't see built-in headset microphone


    Hello everyone!
    I recently bought Sony WH-1000xm5 and when I connected them to my Xbox Series, my friends couldn't hear me. But when I connected my old ones everything was fine. The main difference is that the old ones have an external microphone and the new ones have a built-in one. Does Xbox support built-in microphones at all?

    Microsoft haven't produced an Xbox specific microphone, no.

    The only option is either to use a headset with a built-in microphone or find a mic that can be used via the 3.5mm audio port on the controller

    To everyone that apply: the iPhone has 3 microphones built into the device. The xbox app does not know this so it will constantly switch between the multiple mics. Furthermore, the speaker used on the iPhone is currently near one of those microphones.
    By default apple automatically will turn off or on the speaker/mic to minimize feedback throughout the process. If you have a bluetooth headset with a microphone built in (for example AirPods or Beats studio’s) the app will no longer get confused on which
    microphone to use because now it knows just to use your headsets microphone only.

    Day one controller coming apart?

    There is a major problem now with the day one controller and the headset microphone. The rumble feature knocks loose the connector inside the controller, rendering the headset microphone useless. The only fix i have found for this is a screwdriver!

    Ergonomically designed, cheaply built!

    Xbox gamepads do not have a microphone in it.
    Yes I know the controller doesn't have a microphone it's when the microphone headset is connected to the controller.

    Definitely would like to see Bluetooth capabilities, including connecting to bluetooth speakers. I would also like to see a built in microphone of good quality for those who like voice commands and/or communicating without having to use a headset.
