Xbox disconnects me from Xbox live for only about 10 seconds

Discus and support Xbox disconnects me from Xbox live for only about 10 seconds in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; my Xbox live randomly disconnects about every 5 minutes but it only disconnects for about 10 seconds but that is enough to kick me from my online games...     Xbox disconnects me from Xbox live for only about 10 seconds


    my Xbox live randomly disconnects about every 5 minutes but it only disconnects for about 10 seconds but that is enough to kick me from my online games and disconnect my parties. I'm pretty sure it's not my Internet because my phone and other things dont
    disconnect from my internet. My Xbox also says my connection is fine.

    Has anyone else experienced an occurrence when they are playing online for 1-2 hours then it will disconnect from Xbox live, then quickly reconnects after about 10 seconds?

    Keep disconecting from xbox live and parties at random times

    Hello when i sign in to xbox live my connection is like 3 bars witch is okay but when im in the party ill be in it for like 10 minutes and then everyone will go quite then ill disconnect from the party, then 30 seconds after ill disconnect from xbox live
    and this only occured when i did the latest xbox update Please help???

    Getting Disconnected

    Hi Zack,

    I have actually tried this and it seems to be the only thing that is a temorary fix. I can play a few games and then it will keep me off again.

    I notice if i hold in the power button for 10 seconds to reset my xbox the first time it kicks me off its only for a second or 2 but then the next time it keeps me off long enough that i get completely disconnected from xbox live.

    I've had a similar problem when playing the crew. I can play for 5 to 10 minutes and then I will disconnect from xbox live for about 5 seconds and then it will come back on again like nothing happened. I wouldn't be too fussed about this but every time I
    lose connection to xbox live, I have to start the crew again because it is an online only game. Im unsure whether it is my router, xbox or the game that is the problem.

    Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. So, the Xbox only turns off when attempting to read a disc only, correct? Is this Games discs only? Have you tried a Blu-ray or DVD?

    I would recommend starting troubleshooting with a
    power cycle    . Turn off your Xbox by holding the power button on the console for about 10 seconds. Once your console is off,

    disconnect the power supply     from the wall outlet and from behind the Xbox. Leave it disconnected for 10 - 30 seconds.
