    Xbox Device Portal just won't connect


    It has worked once or twice, now it's been a day already and everytime I type the console's IP on any browser it says the site is unreachable. Yes, the console is connected and the connection test ends up fine. Yes, my device portal is enabled. Yes, I wrote https before the IP. Yes, I've tried to ping the IP with CMD and it doesn't work. How can I just get it to work again?

    So just to be clear, there are no USB devices connected to your console at all when trying to play the disc? You've even removed the Skylander's Portal from the console?

    We are sorry to hear that you’re having trouble accessing the Xbox device portal in developer mode. According to a Microsoft website, you can enable the Xbox Device Portal by following these steps:

    1. Open Dev Home. This should open by default when you boot up your development Xbox, but you can also open it from the home screen.
    2. Select the Connect icon in the upper-right corner of the Dev Home window.
    3. In the Connect window, select Add a device.
    4. In the Add a device window, select Xbox Device Portal.
    5. In the Xbox Device Portal window, select Enable.

    If you have already enabled the Xbox Device Portal and are still experiencing issues accessing it, please try checking if your firewall is blocking access to it. You can also try resetting your console and router.

    I'm sorry you are experiencing issues accessing the device portal. If you can access it on the console but not other devices, it may be an issue with your router blocking the connection.

    Try forwarding port 11443 to your console's IP address in your router settings. For help with port forwarding, please contact your internet provider or router manufacturer.

    port forwarding is directing traffic from the outside world to the appropriate server inside a local TCP/IP network. Internet services are identified by a standard port number, basically that gives you a more direct connection!
