    Xbox decided to reset itself?!?


    Hi, so my xbox started turning off itself while i was playing. So I tried pressing Connect+Eject+Power Console should make two sounds and enter troubleshoot mode, it did one sound and just loaded in the menu, but my account(i activated Instant Log in) didn't connect, and said that i need to use a controller to sign in. And suddenly the xbox just turned off(again) i open the xbox, and Xbox decided to reset itself?!? :preparing The Console: screen appear, I'm like ok, I'ma just gonna let it where it is, and that's it, i don't know what to do.

    We understand that you are having issue with your Xbox which will reset while you are on the game. As per description, it will keep on restarting, asking for a controller to sign in and yet still it will turn off by itself. Let us check on this together and sort this out. Rest assured, we will do to the best in our capability to assist you with your concern and help you back to gaming.

    This issue often is caused by corrupted data in the console which prevents the home screen from loading correctly, this can often be fixed by a factory restore. Now as you can't actually access the settings to do this there is a way to restore to factory defaults using a USB flash drive.

    If you visit the offline system diagnostic support page you can download the Restore Factory Defaults file: How to reset your Xbox console to factory defaults | Xbox Support



    Read through the process of formatting the flash drive etc thoroughly and follow the instructions as if you were doing a system update but using the file you downloaded you may find that your console will then boot correctly.
