Xbox cross platform invitr issue

Hi Angela,

So to clarify do you have an adult account in the Family that you manage or do you only have child accounts that you manage?

You need to have an adult account to be able to change any privacy settings on a child account in the same family.

If the website is giving you trouble then I suggest trying to update the settings on the Xbox. Sign into the adult account and then go to Settings>Account>Family and then choose the account you want to manage.

Let us know if there are still issues trying to manage the child accounts.

parental setting on the console or our website. Be sure to keep us updated!

Microsoft account age can be changed but it doesn't affect Xbox account age: that is permanent as your Xbox account age is permanently connected with the first date of birth entered when creating your account. Your account will be promoted to an adult account
when it reaches 18 (20 in Korea and Japan) on Xbox one. Xbox support can not change you from child to adult account in any way.

You will need an adult to create an account and invite the child account to a family group and then you can change some settings that may need to be changed:

Maybe child accounts can't enable that option.

Hiya, its an xbox one but i was trying to update via my pc to change the child account that is linked to family child account.

Is the platform you are playing on the Xbox One or a Windows 10 PC?

If you have an Xbox One, you can see if the console needs an update by going to Settings>System>Updates and from there you can see the status of your current system update. It was just released today.

In regards to the Xbox privacy changes you made not submitting correctly, are you making these changes to the child account using your adult Microsoft account that should be linked to the child account on Xbox.com?

You can also change privacy settings from the Xbox app or from the Xbox One console itself.
