Xbox cotrllor stopped picking up headset when it's plugged in

My new controller has stopped picking up the headset when it's plugged in.

Can't hear or use microphone.

Was working fine for 2 weeks.

The headset & headphones work fine in other controller and our tablets/phones etc.

Can anyone shed any light on this please?

Will Microsoft Replace or Repair the controller?

Only bought it 01/10/18 for a Birthday 14/11/18, so only actually been in use for 2~3 weeks!!

It's fully updated & still no joy.

The headset & phones work fine with other devices.

Will Microsoft repair or replace?

Don't fancy spending cash on another controller.

Only had it 2 months & only been used since 15th November.

Quite worried the other new controller may end up the same.

Sounds like the headphone jack in the controller may have failed. Make sure the controller is fully updated with the headphone attached. You should also make sure you have good batteries in the controller.

device support site. You must register your xbox one console first, afterwards you can set up your controller exchange.

When I look up the Plantronics RIG 100HX it is a gaming headset not just a microphone so it is picking up that you plugged in a headset and making an adjustment.

Are you plugging in a gaming headset and only wanting the microphone to work on it?
