Xbox Controllers Getting Worse

I feel I am not alone here when I say I still have Xbox 360 controllers that work better than my Xbox 1s do. It is an intentional shotty construction to force consumers to purchase more and more for 0 reason other than you can't play the games you have spent your hard-earned money on. I have had to choose between a new controller or a new game and go with the controller, because what good is a new game if I can't play it. I take care of all my controllers and still after x amount of time my sticks start to drift. I have a Nintendo 64 controller that I beat the hell out of and still works like it did when I first took it out of the box. So, I am supposed to believe that 26 years later we can only make things worse. Like so many others who were looking to upgrade their gaming system I have decided that if I can't get the new system (at the price I am told it is supposed to be from Microsoft) why waste the money. I have instead moved to pc. Being that this is supposed to be a question, here it is, does anyone who has broken out of this money grabbing cycle found an alternative controller that will connect to my pc that is not a huge learning curve from an Xbox controller? Thanks for your responses and for reading my rant.

There is an officially licensed thrust master controller that has user replaceable sticks.

Unfortunately you’ve just gotten lucky, all three major manufacturers have used analog stick mechanisms from the same manufacturer for well over a decade. I had exactly the same problems with my 360

Every single controller for Xbox One does this. It's a mass hardware failure. You cannot get it fixed. It's hard to believe that Microsoft spent 100 million on R&D for this controller but it's true. Microsoft will need to do something similar to the the
original Xbox and redesign the controller before this problem gets worse. It's ridiculous. Next time you get a new controller just open it up and gently rotate the left thumb stick. At about 45 degrees left or right you will feel a weak point. That's the
beginning... it gets worse and worse until it is broken. Every single one.

Personally I haven’t had any issues with my Xbox controllers apart from the thumbsticks getting worse overtime, apart from that I’m more then satisfied with the Xbox controllers

Oh for pete's sake... Quit bashing. What about Napolean? Dang near took over all of Europe. even against superior enemies. his battles are still studied today. Pretty much a tactical genius. For France.

As for America and it's battles. Are you kidding me? The ONLY reason we lose tie whatever you want to lable it is because we are held to a standard where no one else can get hurt except the main combatants. There can be no colateral damage gainst anyone
else in the area or we hear about it. War does not have rules and unfortunately it does for the U.S.A. The last time it didn't we were fighting the end of WW2. The decisions were made that we had to totally defeat the enemy to save the lives of American soldiers.
because digging out the japanese well dug in and entrenched military would have been bloody beyond anything we had previously seen. we dropped 2 bombs and the Japanese military surrendered. Take away the rules and we would have won every altercation in the
last 100 years.
