Xbox controllers bugged on windows

My controllers worked completely fine with Minecraft for years but a few weeks ago suddenly they keep skipping options in the menus, scrolling way too fast, opening up chat in game whenever I press jump or move around, being way too sensitive and other annoying issues. When I use the D-pad in the menus the cursor will move as it normally should but its also glitchy in game. When I use my mouse and keyboard the game works perfectly though

I've tried adjusting my controller sensitivity and restoring the settings to default but that didn't work. I've tried multiple different wireless and wired controllers that all act the same way. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft to no effect. All of my drivers and system updates are up to date and all of my controllers work perfectly fine with any other game so this seems to be an issue purely with Minecraft

I'm having the same problem. My wireless controller was working with my receiver yesterday, and today after installing the Windows 10 update, it no longer works. It's highly unlikely that this problem coinciding with what looks like a major Windows update
is coincidental. Either this is a bug, or Microsoft no longer supports (i.e. disabled) 360 controllers with Windows 10 and wants us to buy Xbox One controllers.

I'm hoping it's a bug.

this is a well known bug, it's best to update you're controller using an Xbox and not a Windows PC. Try connecting it to an xbox and seeing if it needs an update, if not contact xbox support?

Oh i know, some of the bugs nearly made me throw the controller out the window in despair lol.

It wouldn't be a lego game without the bugs though.

it's not a problem of the controller, it can be paired with the PC with no issue, unfortunately with the latest firmware is no more recognized as an Xbox controller when connectd using bluetooth

In the joypad configuration panel when is wired connect it is reported as a "Controller (Xbox One For Windows)", when connected using bluetooth is reported as a generic "6-axis 16-buttons game pad with hat switch"

With previous firmware version it was reported as "Controller (Xbox One For Windows)" for both (even when connected with bluetooth)
