Xbox controller wrongly showing out of warranty?

That being said, the only option to fix this issue is by contacting Best Buy or Xbox Support directly. Sometimes when you enter the following link you will be assisted by a bot, but you must select another problem until you can enter a live chat or the option to request a call appears.

Thank you for that info, I have filed a warranty support request.

The issue is, it's saying my controller is outside of warranty, when it isn't.

I'm hoping to hear back about it tomorrow.

Have you tried contacting them this way?

Go to Microsoft account | Devices and locate your device.

Select Info & support and, if necessary, select Register to register the device and see coverage details.

On the row for Warranty claims, select Learn more.

Select submit a request.

Provide information on the Warranty Support request form and select Submit.

shows where to find the numbers to be entered. This will also tell you if the controller is in warranty. All accessories have a 90 day warranty.
