    Xbox controller won’t play sound


    So I just bought a new Xbox one controller and the sound doesn’t work on my headset. I go to the devices section of the settings menu and i cant select the volume option for the controller. Anyway to fix this or do i have to buy a new controller?

    Xbox won’t play game sound

    my xbox one won’t play game sound. And by that I mean it will play system audio, like pressing the home button, but won’t play sounds from games. How do I fix this

    Xbox One on but won’t do anything

    My Xbox One will power on, with the white power light on, but it won’t do anything. The tv doesn’t detect an input source. I’ve checked the tv and the hdmi cable, and they both work. Also, the controller won’t connect to the Xbox. I can turn the Xbox on
    with the controller, but the controller won’t connect and flashes the middle button light. The Xbox will eject and take cds, and I can hear the cd rom spinning when I put a disc in, but the Xbox won’t do anything else, and the controller still won’t connect. I
    also can’t turn the Xbox off, unless I hold the power button for 5 seconds. When I press the the button, the sound plays for the Xbox’s turning off, but it stays on.

    I'm having the same issue. Anyone have any ideas?
    This is what I got off my chat with support These are the steps to follow: Press the Xbox button to open the guide. > Select System > Settings. > Select TV & OneGuide. > Select Audio & video. > Change the audio option from Stereo to Surround sound. >
    Select Restart now. Your console will restart and enable surround sound from your console to your TV or A/V receiver.

    I've encountered this 3 times in the last 2 months. 3 games with 3 different developers. Never happened before. A hard reset on the console fixed it but I expect it to occur again.
