Xbox controller won't connect to Xbox One, even though the controller is brand new

sorry for that stuipid question but you synced the controller with your xbox ?

Now the controller won't communicate with the Xbox even though I double checked to make sure it was connected. Called GameStop and I am getting a new Xbox One

I have the same problem with my brand new one and my controller won't connect either.

Yes of cource you can get your controller repaired. You will have to send in your old controller and they will send you a brand new one. But here is the issue, you won't get that same controller back though. Also the controller you will recieve won't be
a Day One Edition controller. (like GrowlingYapper above me stated). I'm sorry it has to be like this. It will be up to you if you want to trade in your faulty Day One contoller for a new one.

Yeah MS recently confirmed they are going to have an adapter for the Xbox One controller to have a 2.5mm headset connection. They haven't said if it will come with the console or be available at launch though.

So any headsets designed to work with the 360 controller should be good TurtleBeach, Astro, Tritton even MS 360 headsets. The oldest style headset that came with the early 360s that had the volume and mute controls right in the middle probably won't work
though.

There is also the previously shown Xbox One controller specific headset, but it won't ship with the console.
