    My step son Xbox controller will light up (where the X button is and turn on the Xbox) , it will not move up and down side to side to.let him play games. It may need to be updated the controller may need to be updated, but how can I when it won't move on the Xbox one. We have let them charge up all night, we have changed batteries. Is there anyway I can update his controller throu Microsoft app or on epic games app bc he loves playing Fortnite and Minecraft on the Xbox one. Any advice or tips Will help thank u and God bless

    also my xbox lays flat not up on its side, its well ventelated and is never moved while turned on. and i have the xbox with the white disc tray that didnt come with the hard drive, but was bought sepperately (20gb hdd).

    Try turning on the xbox one and controller, press the button on the left front side of the Xbox one, then press the little black button on the top of the Xbox One controller see if that does anything other than that turn off console unplug from mains supply
    wait a few mins, reboot the console and try again.

    dont know or have any other idea's sozz.
