xbox controller will not work with GTA V

Whenever I play GTA V my controller will not respond to any button pressed in the game. But in every single other game, it works perfectly fine. Please someone provide some sort of solution.

    Can't fire while aiming.

It's the standard retail wireless controller that came with the xbox.

I have tried different pre-sets but it doesent matter..

It's strange...cause some games, lika Gta V works..

When the paycheck comes in i will by a standard wired xbox controller and see if it

    works better.

GTA změna jazyka z ruštiny na angličtinu [Translation - GTA change language from Russian to English]

Nepomohlo. Xbox one je v angličtině. Jen hra GTA V je v ruštině.

It didn't help. Xbox One is in English. Only GTA V is in Russian.

Freeze on save in Skyrim and can't even get past the loading screen in GTA V

If GTA V is indeed downloaded from the marketplace and not a disc, try this.

Delete GTA V and clear your cache 3 times.

    Restart your console.

Download 16 GB of demos (this is how big GTA V will be in the end)

Once those have finished download all the GTA V files from your download history (GTA V, Installation Packs 1-4)

After you've done that, feel free to delete the demos.

This worked for me, hopefully it works for you too!

Grand Theft Auto V New-Gen Title Update Coming on Monday

Is it that bad? I'm curious if for PC, R* will add Xbox 360 controller support, Xbox ONE controller support, or both! For GTA: IV PC, you can use a specially integrated MS controller for the PC version, but since GTA: V uses two systems (currently), I wonder
which controller support will be given.
