I'd be happy to answer that. If you purchased a Microsoft Xbox accessory within the last 30 days, you can return it to the retailer with your original proof of purchase. If you purchased the accessory more than 30 days ago but within the accessory warranty
period (90 days), you can order a replacement accessory from
Device Support (console registration is required). Make sure you click
Replace an accessory instead of “Repair my device.” Follow the onscreen prompts to place an order. This article has more information on

Thanks for reaching out to us in forums for this issue. In relation to warranties, when it comes to controllers, if you have an Elite controller then you'll be pleased to know that it has a 1 year warranty
on it. The 90 day warranty is for the standard Xbox One controllers and other accessories. Should you need some help with your Elite controller, you may want to take a look at our support article entitled Servicing

My controller not only had the right bumper become unusable, but the rubberized grip has started to peel away from the controller body.. I have been so careful with it,(i.e. not dropped, thrown, or otherwise abuse it) and still it has problems like this.
I love my controller, it really is amazing, but for $160, it really does need to be covered better than a 90 day warranty, and I expected a little more from Microsoft..

hey, so what i did was go to amazon. find the elite controller click the add warranty, add the controller and warranty to cart remove the controller and

BAM youve got yourself a 4 year warranty for like 20 bucks.
