    wired controller recognition

Hi there, I am now trying to find solution to same problem. I am usualy using one wireless controller combined with a wired one. Today my son tried to play FIFA with one more wired controller connected and it ended up connected on the same position as the
first one. I have tried all possible combinations with no luck.

Dont want to bother anyone. Just adding my experience...

    Try these things:

    • Update your controller firmware.
    • Try a different USB port on your PC, and/or different USB cable.
    • Update your installation of Windows (Win 7, 8, and 10 are supported to automatically download drivers)

There may also be power options or corrupt drivers in Windows that cause the "Device Descriptor" failure. At your own risk, you can

    look here at this article
I found about the error (but I would suggest researching more online, as this problem could be specific to your computer brand/model).

I've had a new xbox since i'm afraid did u try the usb ports on the back of the xbox? Or maybe a wireless controller? Maybe even a different wired controller u can borrow to see if that works? Did u try pressing the controller sync button on the xbox with
both controllers plugged in? Also try contacting xbox support directly if possible. Good luck.

    Hi.

I have exactly the same problem : two wired black controllers on my slim xbox 360 and they both show up as player 1 (the second wired works, the first one is blocked)
