Xbox controller randomly disconnects when plugged into the console

Got it! It would be better to test a different cord to check if that is the issue since the controller is just working fine wirelessly. I believe the issue here is most likely just the cord itself.

Yes the controller is up to date, I have tested different cables and it's the same issue. My controller does connect wirelessly I just don't have any batteries at the moment. I will soon be getting some rechargable batteries for this controller, so i won't have the issue long.

Have you already tested different cables for your controller just to check if that is the issue? Is your controller not connecting wirelessly anymore?

This can only be tested if you will use a different cable or if you try to use the cable to another controller.

Make sure the controller is also up to date.

your controller shouldn't just disconnect randomly, try plugging the usb into your xbox and into your controller and try updating the controller.

I've found a resolution for my problem. If I plug my controller into my USB switch the controller doesn't disconnect, even though the other inputs do disconnect randomly! When I swap the inputs to my PC everything works perfectly and the Xbox controller continues to work on the Xbox (weirdly).
