    Xbox controller (plugged into PC) keeps disconnecting?


    I play on my PC with the cord plugged in, my PC doesn't have bluetooth. Has always worked great no hassle. Now it's unusable. It started just every once in awhile and I'd unplug/plug and it'd work again, but it happened more and more often and now I
    can't get it to work at all.

    I tried my backup controller, same problem.

    I've been updating everything I can find. I downloaded the xbox accessories thing and updated the driver on the controller. The xbox button is slow flashing and then it goes off after a cpl minutes.

    Any help?

    Thanks for the help,

    I've found a resolution for my problem. If I plug my controller into my USB switch the controller doesn't disconnect, even though the other inputs do disconnect randomly! When I swap the inputs to my PC everything works perfectly and the Xbox controller continues to work on the Xbox (weirdly).

    Thanks, CristofKaiser, indeed with a brand new controller it keeps disconnecting, so it's not the controller. [Update:] now the controllers work on my PC, but still no news on the Xbox One.

    I'll keep you posted if I find a solution.

    Anyone else ?

    When will the Xbox Series X Controller Firmware get fixed?

    I'm playing on a PC, this isn't a Forza issue, it's a Windows/Firmware/Compatibility issue, the controller disconnects even if i'm not in any games.
    A lot of people have this issues on PC, for some it works fine in some games, and in others it keeps getting disconnected, and for most it just disconnects regardless of game or not.

    It's been an issue since Xbox One controllers, and day Series X

    So silly but what worked for me was disconnecting the PS4 controller I had plugged into my PC. Game launched right away.
