Xbox controller only connects once through bluetooth after restarting laptop

My laptop is on Windows 11, and when I play Rocket League on it, I use Bluetooth to connect my Xbox controller. It works fine the first time I connect it, but if later on in the day I try connecting it, it doesn't work unless I restart my laptop. I also have to remove the device every time from the paired devices section. The controller also sometimes randomly stops working mid-match for around 5 seconds; very annoying when playing competitively, though this normally only happens once per session. Any fixes?

Here are the troubleshooting steps:

Please re-sync the controller. Press and hold the pairing button on your controller until the Xbox button starts flashing rapidly.

On your laptop, go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices and select Add Bluetooth or other device.

Choose Bluetooth and select your controller from the list.

And then update bluetooth drivers. Kindly make sure your laptop's Bluetooth drivers are up to date. You can do this by going to Device Manager, expanding the Bluetooth section, right-clicking your Bluetooth adapter, and selecting Update driver.

Next is to clear bluetooth cache. Please do this on your laptop, go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.

Remove the Xbox controller from the list of paired devices.

Restart your laptop and try pairing the controller again.

If the wireless connection is still not working, kindly connect your controller to your laptop using a USB cable. This can help determine if the issue is with the wireless connection.

After that, check for Interference. There should be no other wireless devices causing interference with the Bluetooth signal. Kindly move your laptop and controller to a different location.

This also stopped working. Not exactly sure what is going on. Controller works through bluetooth on every device but my gaming pc. But I can connect other controllers through bluetooth and they work directly plugged in. Only this XBox controller does not work after working fine
