Xbox controller on PC and Xbox Streaming conflict

I have a strange problem on my windows 11 that has Xbox controller connected through a dedicated dongle. This works great all other times but if edge browser is open with Xbox game pass streaming web pages, controller won't connect if I turn it on. It starts, flashes a couple of times and turns off. I've consistently tested that if the browser is closed, or another site such as Google is open instead of Xbox streaming, connection works great. This is a problem because cloud streaming takes forever to launch so my controller often times out, leaving me no choice but to restart browser and redo the launch. Any idea how to get around this?

I've eliminated some of these steps such as batteries, Windows update. I'm yet to try updating controller firmware. Will try that and update.

1. Update Windows and Controller Firmware: Make sure that you have the latest patch downloaded for the game as well as the latest firmware installed for your controller.

To update Windows, follow the steps below:

Press the Start button on the taskbar, type settings, and then select Settings.
On Windows 10, select Update & Security. On Windows 11, select Windows Update.
On the Windows Update page, select Check for updates to see if any updates are available including optional updates for your device.
Once the updates have downloaded, select Install now to start the installation.
Following installation, we recommend that you restart your device so that the latest updates can take effect.

2. Update Drivers and Try a USB Bluetooth Adapter or the Official Wireless Dongle: If you're still having trouble, you might want to try updating your drivers or using a USB Bluetooth adapter or the official wireless dongle.

Could it possibly be your xbox overheating or maybe you have additional peripherals plugged in that could be causing some sort of conflict? it could be that the mixer needs an update though. I havent had this problem when streaming, but i stream from my
PC

Okay thank you very much, I have one small question when it comes to streaming. If i were to stream an Xbox 360 game from an Xbox One to my Windows PC, would I be able to control that streamed game with my mouse and keyboard as opposed to a controller while
on my Windows PC playing the streamed game?

No, only controller. You can't use mouse and keyboard in this fashion for any games over xbox one streaming.
