Xbox controller not working on battle net games

Xbox controller not working when I'm playing Battlenet games. well, it works but is very buggy, certain inputs on the Xbox controller will close the game or bring up a on screen keyboard, in the menus of the game it rapidly switches between keyboard/mouse and Xbox controls displayed. (Call of Duty Warzone) for example. Overwatch 2 as well. when I plug in a PlayStation controller it works fine. however, when I play a steam game like destiny, the Xbox controller works just fine. why?? the Xbox controller worked fine the first time I used it in Call of Duty Warzone. now it just rapidly switches between keyboard/mouse and Xbox controls. someone help please?

Hello again, it's more likely to be something with the App, at this point it's only to expect them to launch some update with the fixes.

Hello Joe, by its description it is difficult to know if this would be something on the system or in some specific App, be it battlenet or steam.

However in these cases the ideal is to have the system completely updated with the drivers also updated.

See which version of Windows 10 you have

Updates are often seen as optional.

Also, make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed, it works with the Xbox App.

In device manager If you have Xbox (360 peripherals) and (Xbox peripherals) right at the bottom

> Xbox 360 controller for windows. Right click disable. Should prompt to restart.

I bought a brand-new Xbox Elite series 2 controller, which would not work with battle net.

It was because the Xbox peripherals was conflicting with the Xbox 360 peripherals. Disabling the Xbox 360 controller in device manager.

Fixed my issue and saved my tissues, who wants a warm milkshake?

I'm running windows 11 pro. it's likely something with the battlenet app, as the controller works with no issue with other apps, like steam.
