Xbox controller not working in most xbox game pass games

I have an official xbox wireless xbox one controller. It works perfectly fine in other games on steam. When playing games from xbox game pass, most games don't detect the controller or detect it but it doesn't respond.

For example, I tried Astroneer which doesn't detect the controller at all. I also tried Sea of thieves which find the controller but no joystick or button seems to work. When playing Halo, I don't have any problem...

I'm under the impression the xbox app is having a problem since some of those games works fine in steam with the same controller.

Anyone having this issue? There's is not interest in paying for a game pass when games aren't working. My computer act as a gaming console in the living room, without the possibility to use a controller, it is completely useless...

Keep in mind it's only a few games that support touch

Most games support controllers only

Fortnite isn't one of the games that support touch

It's unlikely a PvP shooter would support touch as it requires fast reaction and sensitivity you don't get with touch but with controllers

Most of the games are pve with the exception of rts games or gears 5

Fortnite does work with touch. It says “Play with Touch” in Xbox Cloud Gaming

Yes, you will have to pay for Xbox Game Pass Core or higher. You will get more games though so thats good. And if you get Game Pass Ultimate you can play most games on your phone using a Xbox controller.

The wireless controller works perfectly fine with steam games but none of the xbox game pass games on the xbox beta app recognize the controller.

I heard that it wont work with a third party receiver, which i use.

Plus unfortunately i am not able to test it with a wired controller.
