    Chat Headset model 1564 is not recognized by controller model 1708, but is recognized by controller model 1697

    - Chat Headset model 1564 is not recognized by newer controller model 1708, but is recognized by older controller model 1697 (and older). Party chat/xbox doesn't recognize it, mute button doesn't work, volume doesn't work, mic/ear piece doesn't work, etc.

    - happens on 2 different 1708 controllers (1 brand new from box)

    - headset is brand new from box

    - controllers are all updated with latest firmware

    - 1708 controllers recognize older chat headset (but mic is broken - also model 1564 mic) and recognize 3.5mm headsets (3rd party brands)

    - system has been power cycled multiple times, controllers have been powered on/off multiple times

    - new mic is not recognized in controller setups on newer 1708 controllers

    - old mic and 3.5mm headphones are recognized on newer 1708 controller and older versions in controller setup options

    - xbox gamer chat support suggested possible faulty controllers - hard to believe it's the exact same thing on 2 different controllers bought a year apart happening at the same time.

    any suggestions/ideas?

    fried controller motherboard (model 1708)

    i have the xbox one s controller (model 1708) and it would appear that the lower motherboard has fried and i cannot find a replacement anywhere on the computer can anyone help

    If your controller model is 1708 and 1797 (elite v2),

    you can use bluetooth connect the pc / mobile phone.

    1537, 1697, 1698 (elite) is not support bluetooth.

    That model of controller does not support bluetooth use. Any of the models that have the top as a part of the bumper area and are not a formed part of the controller, do not have bluetooth capabilities. The first controllers to support bluetooth were
    the 1708. So anything with that model or higher will support the bluetooth function.

    XBOX ONE controller doesn'T connect

    Hi nvsss58,

    I believe that model 1537 is the first gen of Xbox One controllers, it does not have Bluetooth connectivity. When connecting to the Xbox it uses 2.4ghz to connect.

    The Bluetooth capable controllers are from model 1708 (released 2016) onwards.

    I have a problem with my xbox gamepad(model 1708).

    The first link says that if the plastic around the button does not match the rest of the case, then there is no Bluetooth. But I read that model 1708 have Bluetooth or not every?
