Discus and support Xbox Controller Microphone in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I've got a headset for my Xbox and I'm having trouble getting sound from it.     Xbox Controller Microphone


    I've got a headset for my Xbox and I'm having trouble getting sound from it. It works just fine with my wired Duke controller, but I can't get any noise from either of my standard controllers or my elite 2 controller.

    How can I fix this to work with my wireless controllers?

    Xbox gamepads do not have a microphone in it.
    Yes I know the controller doesn't have a microphone it's when the microphone headset is connected to the controller.

    Is the microphone socket on your controller blocked by anything or has a previous wired microphone lead snapped while in the controller? The reason I ask this is because any wired microphone will not let a wireless microphone connect to the controllers player
    number. If it looks clear, start up an Xbox Live party and check if it says a microphone is connected without turning on your wireless microphone, if it says a microphone is connected then there's the issue. If it's possible I would return it to the retailer
    you bought it from for an exchange.

    The microphone is muted, not the headset.

    The headset and microphone works on another xbox and controller.

    I have tried it on 2 controllers on the bone that is muted.

    You could try getting a Microphone and plugging it in to the controller but the best solution would be to buy a headset with a Microphone included. Just look on the Xbox store under devices. Anything with a Microphone will be sufficient for your needs.
