    Hi,

    Posting as 2 of my Xbox One controllers are picking up a mic which I do not have plugged in, they work fine etc. when the mic is plugged in and I have no issues, but when the mic is disconnected it still registers that I have a headset plugged in.

    Do you know of nay reasons why this would happen with both a controller bought with the Xbox itself and a controller bought separately?

    Xbox One Mic shorting out controller.

    having the same issue here of controller not working or constantly disconnects when the mic is plugged in. this seems to be a common issue.

    Mic buzzing

    I recently got paddles for my xbox one controller which require a wired connection. When I plug a mic into my controller, other people constantly hear a buzzing from my mic. I’ve tried different controllers and have the same issue, I even bought a new headset
    and that didn’t solve it. It has to be a problem with the wired connection, I’ve tried several cords and the buzzing stays. Is there any fix that doesn’t require me to use the controller wireless?

    MeanKiller, I'm starting to think it's actually the controller not the headset, something to do with the connector on the controller's end. The headset's dongle is just too big. constantly plugging it in and removing it from the controller is what's causing
    all these mics or controllers to break. Definitely want the wireless 360 mic back!

    I heard it would work if I connect the mic to xbox via usb, and connect the mic to the 3.5mm adapter jack that goes to mic jack and headset jack. And connect that adapter to my controller. Idk if that is true though
