Xbox controller LT trigger stuck

Same thing happened to one of our controllers. We took it apart to find that the spongy cushion that keeps the trigger from hitting the case was disintegrating and the trigger kept getting stuck on the sticky part of the cushion. Once the sticky reside
was cleaned up, it stopped doing it.

Could you show me how to clean the sticky reside please.

When did that issue start to occur? Could you please try to connect your controller using a USB cable if the issue still persists? Don't forget to check for controller updates.

it just started randomly I tried a USB cord and it kept happening any ideas what to do from here.

Thank you for trying. Try to power cycle your controller. Turn it off, remove batteries, wait for at least a minute before turning it back on.

If you’re able to navigate through your console settings, try to reset your mapping.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Under Profile & system, select Settings.
Under Devices & connections, select Accessories.
On the Xbox Wireless Controller, select Restore to default.

You could as well try it on PC if it does the same thing.

Make sure that you already checked for controller updates.

If it’s still doing the same, I am afraid your controller needs replacement already.
