We need to verify if the update did go through. Please try updating the controller on your computer instead using the Xbox Accessories app and see if that sorts it out.

On your computer, you can download the Xbox accessories app from this link, https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/xbox-ac....

Once it is installed, open the Xbox Accessories app.

Connect your Xbox Wireless Controller by using a USB cable or the Xbox Wireless Adaptor for Windows.

When the controller is connected, you'll see the message Update Required if an update is mandatory. Install the update.

Hello Ron, I wanted to thank you again for the solution you gave me , but unfortunately it didn’t really work out for me, i used my computer to update the controller and I didn’t see an Update icon or anything that i could click on to Update the controller, it only says “Configure” I plugged my controller on my xbox again and the same happened (Your controller needs an update).
