Xbox controller keeps alt tabbing my games. (PC Gamepass)

If you've somehow set Steam to use your controller as a keyboard and mouse or have shortcuts attached to your controller in Steam, this would explain this behaviour in other games that are not on Steam.

Open Steam, go to Settings in the top left corner. Go down to Controller and reset the Non Game Controller Layout.

If they are, you might consider removing and reinstalling Game Services.

Even though it might seem obvious, it's always best to ensure that our PC and all drivers are up to date. The same goes for the Xbox app. Make sure there are no updates to be done for both.

To update Xbox app and Game Services

Press the Start button on the taskbar, type Store, and open the Microsoft Store app.
Select Collection.
In Updates and downloads, check for updates for the Xbox app or Game Services app. If an update is available, select Update.

To remove and reinstall Gaming services.

Press the Start button on the taskbar,
type 'powershell,'
right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select 'Run as administrator.'

In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:
start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

Install the app on that page and select 'Yes' when you receive the User Account Control (UAC)
prompt.

Hi,

Try holding down the ALT key and pressing the TAB key to get the the 'Lets Go' Window to be the selected Window. With this Window selected, press just the TAB key again to select the green 'Lets go' button. Then press Enter. Hopefully you'll now get into your game.

This came up for me a few weeks ago on a GamePass PC game, pressing the mouse did nothing. The above got me in.

Very much looking forward to it. I'll be able to pull up a video guide while gaming on my PC without always having to ALT-Tab.
