    After searching the web for a suitable place to share my idea I landed here.

    Oppoligies if it's not the best place.

    I have an idea for a new controller (Xbox racing controller) similar to the standard Xbox one controller with one important difference.

    The idea is to move the left analogue button (normally used for braking) next to the right analogue button.

    Somehow have two analogue button side by side where the right analogue button currently is.

    This leave the left hand free to steer the car/vehicle and the right hand to do both braking and acceleration.

    Currently braking and steering at the same time on all general purpose controllers is extremely difficult because the same hand does both tasks.

    Obviously a steering wheel and pedals solves the issue but they are expensive and Xbox controllers are cheap in comparison.

    It also seems racing games are very popular and no one has made this controller.

    Maybe you could brand it a Forza controller.

    This is a great topic for discussion, thank you for bringing it up!

    Your idea in concept sounds amazing, and I'm sure it looks even better. With such a good pitch and an idea, I think it may be a good idea for you to literally design it. Draw it up, cut it out as a schematic, and then put a proof-of-concept business plan
    with it and pitch it to game designers. Literally before somebody else does and gets the patent for it.

    It's a very intriguing idea. It wouldd require some muscle memory retraining for us who have been accelerating and braking with the right and left triggers for generations, but I'd definitely be open to trying it!
