    Xbox Controller/Headphones adapter - No power


    Hey all,

    I'm a bit lost on how to get help/ a replacement adapter as my Xbox adapter (Used for controller and headphones on the pc) has lost power. Usually the white light flashes to indicate it is connected, but after trying on a few different PC's/USB ports,
    there is no power getting to it, so I cant use my Steel series XBOX Headphones on the PC any more...

    I've tried to register for a repair on the Microsoft support page, but simply get the message. "We’re sorry. We are unable to process your request online at this time. Please contact Microsoft Support for assistance."

    I've tried online support, but apparently 'Phone calls and chats aren't available for this issue'.

    So if the product is broken, i'm meant to just buy a new one? Nice. The warranty is still valid as I've had it two months but I cant get any support.

    So do I have any option at all?

    If I understand your question...

    Q: If you buy the Stereo Adapter, will this allow you to hear sound.

    A: Yes, the stereo adapter will allow you to plug in headphones to hear sound. I omitted the headset that comes with the adapter just in case you already have headphones.

    (The Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter lets you plug a compatible chat or stereo headset into the Xbox One Controller to control your audio experience without taking your hands off the controller.)

    The adapter will work with many existing headphones, but you can opt to buy the Xbox Headphones (w/Mic) and adapter too

    If your headphones have a 3.5 mm jack and your controller supports it then simply plug the headphones into the hole in the front of the controller. If the controller does not have the jack then you'll need to purchase a headphone adapter for the controller.

    as someone who ones one, the controller comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack which was plug and play. i bought the xbox stereo headphones which comes with an adapter for volume controls, muting etc

    Is the xbox headset adapter the same as the pre installed headphone jack on the elite controller? Are they a different connection?

    One workaround for a messed up headphone jack it the headphone adapter. That is what I use on my controllers.
