Xbox Controller for Windows 10 keeps disconnecting every 10 minutes

Hello everybody,

I recently bought a new Xbox Controller + Wireless Adapter for Windows 10. While playing some games I dicovered that my controller seems to disconnect very regulary every 10 minutes. I am using the controller with the bluetooth adapter and the included batteries.

To troubleshoot, I tried the following:

Connect the Wireless adapter into a different USB port

Connect the Controller directly with an USB cable

Updating the Controller's hardware via the Xbox accessories (I am using the german version which is called "Xbox Zubehör", I am unsure about the english name) App, which told me the Controller is up to date

Un- and reinstalling the driver via the Device Manager

Unticking the Device Manager option "Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power"

All of my attempts have been unsuccessful so far. I really hope there is a solution to my problem out there.

I tried everything in these articles before but, unfortunately, nothing worked.

As for trying out a different controller... I only have this single one. = /

Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I understand there is an issue with the Xbox One controller randomly disconnecting. I recommend to try the following articles:

To help isolate the issue, have you tried a different controller?

Also, can you try plugging the ethernet cable into a different port on the router. Any good there?

I'm just going to chuck out a load of information that may help you in solving this..

My router make : Virgin Media Superhub

My router model : VMDG480 (Netgear CG3101D)

My router software version : V2.38.01

My router hardware version : 2.00

Boot Code Version : 2.3.0beta7

CA key : Installed

I don't have a modem.

I've tried with several different ethernet cables and still nothing seems to resolve the issue...
